I bet they have 100s of hours spent on that V-Kings bottom mod.....It's not something that you can relate to someone easily.

That is some great Engineering and craftsmanship. Darius has been supposedly working on the bottom of the new 24' Grandsport for around 10 years and still does not have it ready.

Been awhile since I posted on this sight. As for the questions about the bottom here goes. The pad is stock width it has been stretched forward as far as we could it changed the angle of attack a little made it flatter. the steps on the sides of the pad are 3/4 foam coring since the pad was gone when we got the boat the pad was rebuilt inside and out 1708 on both sides making the pad maybe 1/4 deeper than stock.

I saw this boat run twice this summer. It is just a blast to see it run. So cool for a lot of us to relive our past, passion and see it dominate. When this thing runs a lot of us stop to watch. You Go Bill!
What a Hoot. I walked around this rig and really looked at it. It is so Bad Ass. Retro Bitch Slappin Stream and Merc Terror!
I also helped a friend of mine run his Stream at Lucas in Mode E this summer. Saw guys I haven't seen in years. Seeing that Stream V-bottom coming down Lake Lucas was worth the trip.

Most of the weekend it ran it ran around 10800 one long pass 880+ I saw 11100 at over 100 mph. Hard to get a 20p much over 100mph. The best I've seen is 103 in 800ft

Yes. She's hummin for sure
But b4 I read your post , my guess was 9500- 10200
What would 1/2 a pitch do to you ? Say same prop just little work to try get that 1 or 2 mph to 100 in 660?
Would it had been the diffrence in losing that tight race off the line instead winning ? Or drove back round him on big end?
Just curious to the sensitivity

I use to spin it to 10,000 with a stock 260 with 26cc heads.
I just heard ODBA id racing in Bainbridge tomorrow, Tommy Dunn just asked If I could go help Jimmy Clouser out...
Too short notice...I wish someone would post about these races ahead of time.Last edited by CUDA; 11-20-2020 at 08:46 PM.
