No. External diameter is the same, and that’s about where the similarities stop.

The Verado case has preloaded bearings and the shafts and shift forks are different, I believe.

Correct..and they suffer the same water intrusion issues as the 2 stroke cases, and after as much you just throw them on the shiz heap and get a new one out of the box.

Dayum Capt. Double shot Thursday ... put the Verado case in the same class as the 3.0 / 3.2 case .... and then throwd em both in the .44c a pound pile ...

You do bring all your scrap aluminum to .... #1 clean condition before ya turn it in

I do have to do something about that soon. There is damn near a full pick up box full of rusty shafts gears and bearings and housings where the pinion gear came out the side
