What ever you can afford. It is cheaper to go long than to go wide, from what I have seen. I am saying like 30 and 50 wide.

I am thinking 30 X 50 or 60 with two roll up doors on one end. A 23' boat takes up 32 or so feet with trailer and all.

Also the buildings can be extended. Take the rear off, extend it xx' and put it back on. So keep that in mind when you decide how wide and pick a spot to plant it.

The slab is 24x25. They call the building a 24x26 and cite a 6" overhang at each end as the reason for the extra foot of length. Funny thing is there's 6" overhang on each side too so...

I can fit my friend's bumper pull car hauler trailer inside and close the door, I'm pretty sure my Varmint will fit inside too. I'm trying to keep the bays empty unless I have a paying job going on. The jon boat in there is easy to move around by hand, I'm just using it as a work surface as I'm sorting through stuff, it normally lives outside!

I got motivated to get my little 18hp project bolted together last night. My dumpster arrived today so hopefully beginning clean up soon! I have a rear end to set up in a hot rod tomorrow at my friend's shop in town so staying pretty busy for now...

Well, it's a 73 Evinrude 18 cowling. Clamp is a 68, the rest of the parts are cobbled together from junk. Big kit of Marine Tex Gray and about 40 hours of grinding inside the crank case. Look close and you'll see a custom low water pickup and nose cone. The original water pickup and exhaust snout had to be cut off to clear the prop...

Very cool, I didn't notice till you mentioned it. Are those a lot of washers under the clamps or an aluminum collar?

They're a set of pucks from Bob's Machine Shop. The plate is a 2" setback model with 7" (IIRC) vertical travel from Vance MFG.

I haven't really had a chance to look into it yet. I've been super busy. Did a custom exhaust yesterday, tore down a rear end in another truck Wednesday, I'll be building it next Tuesday when the parts come in...
