2.5 Trim Sensor
Hello, I am new here but have gleaned a lot of good information from you all in the last couple of months. I have recently purchased a 94 Cougar 21 MTR and am trying to find out what trim sensor to use on the 1999 Merc 280 hp 2.5 standard shaft motor on it, serial# OG857122. It currently is not equipped with one, I would like to add one and a gauge. Mercury Racing told me to use sensor PT.#841198A1, but it will not fit. I am at a loss, can anyone enlighten me on this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Dick

FUJIMO, thank you for responding, I have been considering a mechanical system. I have looked at Stainless marine's product, can you recommend any other's? Thanks, Dick
