There is a 22ft rule. A stv would have a hard time to go fast as there are almost always some waves. You can move around the side area there is about 5 miles no wake zone from the race course. I think the fee is $150 and that’s good for 2 passes then $25 for each additional.

22R-Lake of the Ozarks. It is a time trial type event mostly for ocean racer style boats--lots of attention to it, many manufacturers show up as I understand it
Per Rock:
"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."
Per my hero Instigator:
"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

One ran a few years back. I believe they pitched the, "it's 22' from the engine to the nose theory" and got it accepted. I can't remember what it ran. Even in the best of water conditions, it's no where near glass smooth and can even be a little rough. I would have loved to run mine when I had it, but wouldn't be safe in that water.

If there is a 22' rule, it is there for a reason. I have a buddy that boats on it... And fishes it. He said it can get rough, and get rough quick! It is big water, but deep.
I figure my 23 Howard would be a good runabout!

I live here in Missouri. The lake is public and 100% free to ramp and boat anywhere you want to.

I have run in the Shootout with a 39 MTI. There can be rollers on the course. We hit a few a 150 mph and it gets your attention. NO WAY would I run in a small boat. Even 22' is too small.
