USCG rated for 25hp per their standardized formula. A person I spoke with in Fl that had my old race boat had upwards of 140+. Many I have seen out there had 60 & 75 which setup up properly and a good driver seem to run the best. Personally I can only advise by going by the USCG CAPACITY PLATE, but people always do whatever they want...
