using 2 Thrust Washers
I have a prop I'm wanting to run but it doesn't fit flush on my lower unit. Just wondering, can you use 2 thrust washers on a lower unit?

There is a guy on here with a Hydrostream that either used two washers or he had a thicker one made, do not remember which. Anyways, he was doing it to see if it made a difference for top speed. He picked up a few miles per hour on the top end.
His name here is Texas Vector. You can look him up, send him a message and see how he did it.

...to briefly test a props performance...yes. for continuous use...no. the prop needs to have a different hub installed, for your application. the prop should be forward on the shaft where it was designed to be, so there is the least amount of stress on it, at the propshafts thrustwasher bevel. moving that stress farther aft twists splines, breaks propshafts, causes blowout, etc., etc...
