Been there before. Rotax twin with a rotary valve. Munched all of the rotary and one cyl to hell. I suspected improper installation rather than poor quality parts. Engine lasted approx 40 hrs after rebuild before it dropped the clip.

Not good news at all. What's your plan for the motor now?

Was u on the fence on ur fuel? If they r little lean then will have extra heat to swell piston up more so pin slide out. U had 3 loose. Was all those on 1 bank?

Sending in "just" a overly close up picture of the damaged area of a piston will get nothing more than thrown in the delete box.
The OP would need to show a receipt . (proof of purchase)
Receipt for bore / hone if available . (goes a long way to prove that the bore was fresh)
Pictures of the bore can show if it was just quickly ball honed or if the bores were fresh. And if it is freshly bored , were the ports chamfered to an acceptable level .

Then , you might stand a good chance of them helping you out . Other wise it's just the small area of a wounded soldier ... with no way of telling what really happened.

Good luck to the OP ..

...other than giving you a new piston and rings, what more do you think they are going to help you on?
