300R on STV Euro
Hello everyone new to the place. Looking into having a new stv euro built and would like to run the 300R. Anyone have any info on how that motor would act on the boat?
Any info would be appreciated. New to the outboard stuff. Thank you

One of the guys in our group had one down here. The boat ran fine, we also have another local guy that has a Yamaha SHO on his euro and it runs well also.

I don't think there is much difference in weight between a 300XS or a 300R

I ran a River Rocket with a 300X for years- I would make sure that the boat is NOT light and have the transom over built. There is nothing wrong with a 750 or 800 pound bare hull when you are putting this kind of power on it. The added weight capability gives Jack a lot of room to make it strong in all the right places and have it not end up flighty in the bow.
