Wonder what price tag is? They said it's running a #IV and can run existing F1 props.

IIRC the [low-volume, competition] 400ROS was double the cost of the [high-volume, consumer] 400R with the same powerhead. I can’t help but wonder if we see a consumer version of this 360 as well.

Well now I finally know what I need to get for my next hot rod outboard boat. What a relief.
12" 360 Prop shaft HP @ 7000rpm, bulletproof pump gas 4 stroke 440lb V8. Nice!
Just think. 35 years ago I had 500lb+ modified 3.6 & 4.0 OMC 360HP-400HP 6500-7000 RPM 2 stroke V8 time bombs...With more on Nitrous!
If you could get the engine height to work, I wonder how fast a properly setup 12-15" 360 APX would go on a 21-23ft lake rig as to compared to a nicely modified 2S 300x?
Would it work on a 21 LCB cat or a plain old 22-21 Tuff, Progression, Superboat, Shadow etc?
If it's really $60K plus, that's certainly a Buzz Kill
I hope to hear a pack or these in a roundy round race soon.Last edited by scott reierson; 09-15-2020 at 01:38 PM.

The video said that MercRacing will seal the XCat and Class-1 motors to "level the playing field"

Hopefully a 15" ROS version with the sporty is next for the stock class cats and also as an option for consumers.

Dry weight listed as 430 lb.
91 octane.
Something else cool.....lift cylinder built into the mid-section. No hydraulic jackplate needed.
