WHo has what for STV Euro setback

I have talked to a few of you and would like to know who is running what for setback on a Euro when running a 500 lbs. 3.0 L. What are the advantages of 8"-10" vs. 5.5" when running a 3.0L. I understand the further back the higher the motor can go but there must be a point in which that philosophy becomes counter productive to performance (or does it). Also that less trim will be needed as the motor is assisting with the bow lift. Any advantage to getting on the bubble faster?

I believe digging into the archives will be helpfull on the subject . Joe Perog had chimed on a Similar thread and chatted about the facts on setting them further back . Can'

At 1.5 or a little less above the centre sponson - and as you have allready stated the further back the addition of height can also be had .I am still working on mine so I can' state any findings . There are many on here that know so im hoping they add so e info
