    Adding VRO

I know, everyone rips them off. I want to add one to an old 115 X flow. Anything I need to do, or is it a bolt on job? I have a few VRO pumps off 200 and 225 loopers.
    TIA

Depends on how old that engine is. Keep in mind that all through the 1980's OMC made many carb jet changes to all of the mid range and larger engines. Part of this was to take advantage of less oil in the fuel at slower speeds and idle speed. Also, some engines had a bolt to the block fuel pump which means no pulse hose/outlet. All the VRO's need a pulse hose and a pulse limiter. Personally, if those VRO pumps are pre 1995 I would not use them. The later ones had better guts inside.

Not sure of the powerhead year, maybe an 81 or 82. Just trying to make the motor easier for my daughter to use.

I'm not trying to sound mean or anything, but is mixing gas all that hard to do? But to answer the question, you can add a vro. But you will have to make sure that you have all the parts to go with. The wiring harness will be different too. So, it may be alot to do. There are connectors for the vro that wont be there on the older harness(unless you sourced a 1984 or newer harness).

I would say, just mix gas.
