Talking Permanent removal of mercury oil injection

Hey my name is jaedon smith and I’m working on twin 1998 mercury 2.5 efi 200 and I’m getting rid of the oil injection because the motors have be sitting for 3 years and prefer you just mix oil into the gas instead of guessing when the oil injection will fail and damage my power head so far I have removed the revisor tank on the motor , blocked off the main oil supply on the starboard side of the motor removed the oil pump and installed a block off kit . I’ve recently removed the low oil warning module and try running the motors but they seem to be in a safe mode because I can’t get over 2500 rpm . If you can’t tell me why this is happening or lead me in the right direction it will be a great help 👍🏾

Try putting the warning module back in. When i removed my oiler from a 98 200efi, all i removed was the tanks and blocked it off. No module delete.

those motors don't have a "safe" mode.. ya need ta look else where.. oiler/oil injection don't have squat ta do with performance unless it it quits oiling.. then there is no doubt whats wrong with it... ya might start with stator test...
