2007 e-tec 250 HO oil issue
I just bought a 21 Challenger with a 2007 250 HO e-tec. Motor has been reprogramed to about 275+ hp. Had it out for the 1st time yesterday. Runs like crap under 3000 rpm but then screams up to 5500 rpm, in a good way. Took my wife out today and after a short cruise it died off like it was out of fuel. Sure enough gauge read empty. Made it to the marina and fueled up. Left marina and tried to take off but motor just bogged out and sputtered. Tried to rev it in neutral but would not rev up. Idled back to the dock. Found the oil line by the oil tank came off. Thought that was odd because it was clamped on. I put it back on. What I also don't understand is why there is a primer bulb in the oil line. I primed the bulb, it was hard to squeeze. I did it a few times. Started motor and revved in neutral. It revved up but there was a lot of smoke then cleared up. Motor ran as before but soon died off again. I primed the bulb again but no change. Was able to idle back to dock. Pulled the boat out and brought it home. Ran it on the hose. Was able to rev it up but again but lots of smoke. Any ideas why a clamped oil hose would come off? Why it will not run past idle.....safe mode? Why all the smoke? Any help is greatly appreciated watch

Highly doubt emm reprogrammed. The 250HO is right at 275 from the factory. Do you have the tach with 4 lights? Need to get hooked up to a laptop for good diag. Check compression, fuel pressure.
