My new stator showed up today, probably won’t put it back together until tomorrow. Can someone tell me what ftlbs the flywheel nut should be torqued back on at?

Thanks, how about the 4 Allen screws that hold the stator on? I’d imagine they would be inch lbs. but what?

I just put blue loctite on those and get them good and snug...

Ok, I went and did that. Now the problem is holding the flywheel while trying to torque the nut. Is there any tricks to this short of buying a tool designed for it that I’ll most likely never use again?

Yeah, just find a spot probably by the starter where you can jam a big flat head screwdriver straight down into. A cheap square shank one works best. Push the handle over towards the flywheel to jam it into the side of the ring gear. You can usually stop the flywheel enough to torque the bolt. Be careful not to damage anything. It's harder to explain than to do it...

Just got everything back together with the new stator. Checked for spark and coil/cylinder#3 still had no spark, flipped all 6 coil wires from one stator to the other, I have spark on coil #3 now and no spark on coil#4. My guess is that one of the switch boxes is not working, It’s not giving the green with white wire power depending on which switch box there on either #4 coil has no power or #3 has no power.

Change the boxes as a pair. Don't use the Chinese ones off ebay. Merc, Sierra, or CDI are the good ones. Stay away from the blue CDI "race" ones, just the regular black ones.

Just like the stator, everybody and their brother offers cdi switch boxes anywhere from $150 for a single box to $89 for a pair. eBay has a pair of the cdi brand that claim to be the replacement I need for $114, does this seem like the correct price for 2 of them?

No, "CDI Electronics" the name brand not CDI "capacitive discharge ignition." Name brand boxes are closer to $150 each list, not $100/pair...
