VIDEO - Inline 6 Ripping on a Home-built Wood Boat
Last run of morning on Lake Crescent. Getting practice with the new Hot Foot, wanted to video the engine to get a feel for how much trim is being used, just a tick under 5 degrees above neutral in this video. Maxed out at 5800 rpm, 24" small eared chopper.
Boat: 14'10" planked in Mahogany and Maple
Engine: 1980 140 power head, short shaft, 1.78:1 gears, prop shaft 2.75" below pad

Very few between here , haven't heard that sound slowing down from speed like coming to the dock in years. Went back in time for a few seconds.

Outstanding!
Gorgeous rig and Rips!I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Can you post more pics/info about your rig?
I designed/built a bunch of kneel down boats back in the day and a couple of dinghies for recent cruisers we owned.
Heres pixs of the last one.
I think I saw 72 on your video?
Thats flat freagin flyin for an in-line and even more so on a home made wood boat.
Way cool dude!
