I`m glad this thread popped back up. I have asked but never got any answers so I`ll ask again. What ever happened to the NTV safety cell River Rocket? Any built and tested?

There is a video on Mike's Facebook page that gives a really good explanation of the HNR boats and molds and helps dispel some of the mis-information on them that has occurred here in the past. That video was taken as the molds were being sold to the new owner in Lake Havasu. I do not believe any boats of that particular style were produced during his ownership but that was like 3-4 years ago and I don't have first-hand information.

Mike is a member here so hopefully he sees this and can provide more accurate information (or shoot him a PM).

    Hilarious!

This thread popped last night and I don’t remember seeing the questions about me and you at Alva!
(I know your post is 2 yrs old)

I remember seeing you and talking to you but don’t remember racing.
What I do remember is you knowing how hard I was working towards moving my dumb ass down there (still an Ohioan at that time) and when you saw me, you walked up w/an out reached hand and welcomed me to Fla.
You sir, are a class act and I will never forget that

As to Alva, that was a fun day.
And to win/losses, once I had it dialed (it was there), I mouthed off of never losing a race.
I know you were a serious racer for a while and were fast so losing to you, would not hurt at all.

That was a fun rig though and a blast to drive.
I remember convincing some doubters that day.

Funniest was being pulled up beside a pontoon full of our peeps while showing the 8300 recall on the tach to the interested parties when Warren Duke (on the toon) heard me and questioned it.
I showed him the recall and he said, “God Love Ya Brother!”.

I was running a 26” Yammi drag that day (boats all around favorite) and it would run right at a 100 @ 8300.
I had a 24” for drag racing (and was wicked!) but it ran out of steam/motor at low/mid 90’s.
The hull was light enough (543) that even w/the 26” it took some ass to get around it.

It took a solid yr to get it dialed.
It ran a best of 101 (in Fla) and that w/the motor 2” bellow!
W/the long fight to get to that point, I decided that was enough.
Left it there and ran a ton of gas through it.

On one Fla trip, I had a CB in my truck and a semi was riding my ass before coming on the CB to tell me how cool he thought the boat was!

One of my favorite pixs of that boat was shot there that day.

I hope all is well w/you and yours Mr Lankford!

    Gary

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.
