Water temp.
I have an 88 200 merc outboard and I need help figuring out the running temp. I have a auto meter marine temp gauge and it’s reading 210-235. Could this be right? I have a good 10-15 psi on water pressure and tell tale is peeing good. Do I need a specific temp sender for this gauge or do I need specific gauge for the sender? I have two wires coming off motor. One on left side that just ties to ground lock and one on right side of motor that ties to ground block and goes to gauge

Yes the sender and gauge must be calibrated to each other. Call auto meter and get the proper outboard sender for your gauge
