300 Promax - Electrical Gremlins

I picked up a 1999 Promax 300 that I got mounted and rigged and had some minor issue trying to fire it. The starter would just spin and not engage the flywheel. I had a spare starter so I swapped them out and the same thing happened. I put the battery on the charger for a little bit and still the same thing. I then replaced the starter solenoid and again just the starter spinning and not engaging with the flywheel.

Lastly I lubricated the Bendix and worked it up and down. I got distracted and accidently left it in the engaged position and turned the key. That must have been an electrical overload because now I have absolutely no horn when turning the key or fuel pump starting. I checked the 20 amp fuse about the starter solenoid and it was fine. After this I ran out of time to work on it.

1) What damage did I do or where do I need to look to get power back so I get the horn when turning the key and fuel pump.

2) Not sure if lubricating the Bendix is going to solve this. I have a known good battery I will take next to see if that is the case, any other suggestions?
