I am in complete agreement about the aluminum. Its gonna have a corrosion party in there!! I am gonna use my upper aluminum mount, but I am gonna powdercoat it b4 installation. The lowers.......hmmmm.....may have to look into the delrin. I have heard the aluminum lowers transmits alot of vibration to the hull. So, I dont want that anyways.

Does delrin come in block form? I know of sheets and round tubes.

I've had solid motor mounts for more than 20 years now on my Allison/Merc SS combo. The vibration is not an issue that most would ever detect or recognize. There is a slight resonance in the growl the engine makes at low to mid rpm, but seriously most would never notice it. I'm building my current 2.0L with Bob's solid mounts and do not consider them a negative. Gordon

I have solids in my 2.5L because I had them and its easy and well thats that. On this 140 I dont think its super critical for solids I'll either drill and pin or fab up some plastic ones as mentioned all very good suggestions. I have a spare mid and mounts for this thing if something goes wrong lol

Well I bought the V4 for a Vandal, but now its going on a Viper. I'd like to see 6200 RPM 70+ mph. I have a 24p Raker to start with. Probably end up with a box full by the time im done playing with it haha

You can not cut OMC motor mounts with a lathe, if you can I would love to see that Chaz!
