Allison Grand Sport w Mercury 225 ProMax

    SOLD. THANKS S&F

Selling one of my boats that is not getting much use. Very nice Allison that was at the Allison factory over the winter to have bottom refinished and blueprinted. Have receipt to include for the work done there. Bottom was a mess from previous owner. $18,500 turn-key. I have someone interested in the motor but would want to sell the hull first. $11,500 for hull and trailer, $7,500 for motor.

Overall condition: Bottom is perfect, interior was replaced a few years ago, trailer is very nice. Paint on the cap is not perfect and had some damage that has been repaired. Carpet is mostly good; there is a stain from hydraulic steering leak that we worked to clean up and not very visible.

Motor is very strong; 134, 135, 135, 138, 138, 140 compression numbers. Leak-down test down by mechanic was consistently 5-7% across all cylinders. 15" mid, Sportmaster gear case, lightweight Mariner cowl on the merc powerhead. Getting 85 mph with full gas tank, two people and a 28 pitch promax and similar speed with 29 Bravo I. Hole shot is a little too strong with either of those props and can likely go with a 30-32 pitch. Darris Allison recommended the ProMax and thought 100 was likely with the 30-pitch, which I have not attempted.

Will be at the boat middle of next week and can get addtl pics or a video walk-around. Weight of hull/motor/trailer 1,650 lbs with half-tank of gas and two batteries. Aluminum tandem axle trailer is pretty light and pulls nicely. Call or text 317-709-2481

This boat does not have the ski pylon, but I have one that can go along with it. You would need to add the mount for the pylon.

Hi Rick. Your old SS2000 remains perfect for me. 93 with the 200XS but I have not really tried to go past 90. My brother should buy this Grandsport even without the pylon. He needs more space than me.

Good luck with the sale, a Grandsport Promax is a great combo

Thanks for .the comment, and do love the combination. Selling either this one or my Banshee and thought this would be easier to sell.
