    Hey Bernie,

There was a green Switzer in a building near me. Not sure but I think its the shooting star model. If I remember correctly it was gold metalflake.

I can check see if its still there. Where can I see a picture of the hugger to verify.

Here's a Super Hugger Wide Body. 72" wide at the transom waterline.

Nope the boat I thought was there is gone. Found the old owner. The boat was a shooting star inline with stacks. Got cobbled up and destroyed.

There was another Shooting Star down here with a Chrysler stacker. Its been 35 years since I saw that go by.

The Super Hugger looks like my GL 20.

I think my GL 20 was a 1976. 1979/149CI 235 OMC. Early style J plate, 28 Hill chopper & cone. Hi 70's like driving a big barrel. The high ring pistons got a taste of bad gas and that was that. Never ran as good afterwards. One day in 1981-82 a guy came gunning for me with a 235 OMC Viking. It was no contest. Made me look like a fool. Moved on from there.

Good ones are hard to find, ive been looking for quite a while. I believe Peter Switzer has/had a perfect one. It had a 70 OMC on it. Wanted a lot of money for it. Like 5k+.

    Wide Super Hugger

    Hey Guys,

I'm a Switzer nut from southern Wisc. Have a bunch of them in my collection. I do have a wide Hugger, however I don't think I'd sell it at this point.

Scott, I have the Gold Star with the Chrysler stacker, you referred to. It was the one that the original owner went to jail for murder I believe. Bought it just outside Madison Wi. probably 20 years ago. Orig motor is gone however I do have a bunch of Chrysler stacker stuff, like a NOS gear case and mid section.

I do have three 17 Supersports, two early flat transom types that I'd sell.

The blue one is just a hull no seats et al. It had two buckets in it that were not nice so I took them out. They can go with the boat however I don't think anyone would want them, there not Switzer. Hull seems to be in fair shape, I did not poke around in the transom to test the wood. It has a 140 in line on it however the motor is what I bought it for. It was running and driving when I bought it, I have not run it since. The trailer is a period correct something.

The Green flake boat is a one owner, he used it for skiing only, he was in some club. I bought it from the original owner, again for the motor, and trailer also. It's in very good condition, always garage kept. On the port side, it has some gel repair work, surface only, from a pier scrape. It's looks OK, it's not as shinny as the rest, which looks like new.

If anyone is interested in either 17, blue or green, drop me a line. boatracer966@gmail.com

    Thanks,

    Brian
