    Dry Stacking a Champ Mid-section

Just trying to get some guidance on what I’m doing with the water dumps on my setup, which is a modded Drag powerhead (21cc heads, diamond intake, etc.) on a Champ midsection.
I’ve read the other threads on here on this topic and the consensus seems to be that the greatest gain comes from being able to restrict the amount of water being dumped into the mid-section so as to allow better control of water pressure in the block.
The adaptor/tuner I’m using is an old Diamond welded and ported one-piece design (pictured below), which came off of a properly set up Triad drag race rig (Larry Smith’s old APBA Hall of Famer rig) so I figure that whoever set it up knew what they were doing. But, as with all things, yesterday’s hot-ticket setup may have been improved on. I’m also concerned about the possibility of melting the water pump housing, since the can will be completely dry once the boat us on plane and running.
I’ve coated the tuner with a 1800 degree thermal barrier coating and I’ve routed the lines basically the same as before, but I have them exiting the exhaust snout (as per picture below). I’ve seen this before but I notice that a lot of guys don't run that and some are running stick-built tube-frame mods that have no sign of dry stacking.
I’ve read that dry stacking becomes less important in warmer water temps, and we have water temps consistently on the 80s all year down here, so I’m wondering if this is a waste of time.
Any thoughts/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Why do you say that? Do you mean because the salt will bake on to the tuner/mid?
I’m at least going to punch a small hole in each tube to generate a spray of water onto the water pump.
I’m a big believer in properly flushing salt water cooled engines.
