...nice "1/2" barrel...all those little cypress knee's popp'n up...cool. when i was a kid grown'n up in florida, those knee's were cut off by the thousands to be sold as souveneirs along all the roads in florida for the tourists...crazy by todays standards...

So I have to ask about the stairs. Do you pull that up at night to keep critters and gators from visiting? or is it also for flood and security. Are the mosquiotes an issue there?? Its a great looking place man. I am envious, very cool.

I only put them up when I leave , just to keep people honest, I’ve never had a problem with any theft , it can’t be seen from the road just the river and us boat people don’t act like that !! There’s really nothing of any real value there , I even leave the doors unlocked so they don’t F the doors up to get in just to figure out that there’s nothing there and the skeeters get busy in the summer months mainly at night,but I grew up s.fl hangin out in the Everglades they don’t bother me much
