Capacitive discharge coils release almost all of their energy instantaneously, considerably reducing the amount of energy available to maintain the spark. With inductive ignition systems more energy can be delivered to the secondary winding of the coil than in a capacitive ignition system.
Inductive ignition systems can provide prolonged spark duration; resulting in more reliable and a cleaner burn in modern lean burn engines. Capacitive discharge systems may have advantage in older 4-stroke engines, an engine running beyond its service life, or a cheap 2-stroke engine.LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

Smart coil (inductive ignition).... Has anyone experienced lack of coil build up time at higher RPM?

So are you having problems with a motor or just curious?
If so what motor?LETS GO BRANDON.... LETS GO BRANDON

The smart coils (IGN1A) can be used on 2 strokes once your not above 9K but they can & will fail between 8500-9000K if you run it there a lot.

HITMAN 8,500 good to know. What are you firing the smart coils with?

may i suggest you start by thoroughly logging your existing engine as to have a table to tune agianst
takes out a lot of the guestimates believe me i know
at the moment setting up a MS3_CAN-EGT_LC1 log chain to properly datalog the original ecu,s
also try to change one thing at the time
leave the ignition and start with fuel-only

CD for big RPM

at 10000 rpm a crank rotation is 6 Miliseconds
with a coil dwell of 3 miliseconds and spark duration of 1 milisecond you still have 2 miliseconds of down time
now it maybe not much but unless you scream and fly all day long you can still use the IGN1A coils
3 miliseconds is enough to burn off 2 stroke oil of the sparkplug
if you are very rich on oil then it would be time to start looking at CD ignition
but you can still experiment with longer dwell settings
