    2.4 200 no power

I have 1984 2.4 200 with that has just been rebuilt. It has a 7 peddle with wh15 carbs with 80 jets and the heads are planed 50. It starts and runs great but when you try to take off it has no power and will hardly even plane out. Timing is at 23 and I will move it to 24 and I check the spark and it has all kinds but the engine has no power at all. Can I get some suggestions.

probably either fuel or spark. double check your lync and sync. make sure carb bowls are clean and fuel is good (not stale, water contaminated, etc). Go to CDI electronics website and download their free troubleshooting manual. You'll also need a cheap DVA converter off ebay and a multimeter. start testing. if you want a WAG i'd say stator but i don't throw parts at something without testing (and today i don't use proper capitalization either).

I appreciate the feed back. Gas has been changed. I’m going to the electrical and start testing some of that.

Yes I had 2 starboard side pistons in the port side. I was sent the wrong pistons from cv tech out of Quebec so I got that figured out and now it needs an electric fuel pump because it starves itself for fuel.
