Anyone have a Baja 212 Islander?

I'm picking up my first "performance " boat tomorrow. A nice '97 Baja 212vislander, 7.4l, bravo1. Obviously I'd LOVE to hear from anyone who had or knows this boat. What did you do for props? Any advice? Does and don'ts? Any and all advice is appreciated!

I have a 208 Islander with a 7.4L mag. (385 hp) The only thing I can tell you is run a 4 blade prop. A 3 blade will blow out when in a hard turn. I run a 4 blade Bravo one (24 pitch) and the boat loves it. Lost about 3 mph on top end but a lot more fun to drive with a 4 blade. Baja's are great boats.

I have a ‘91 225 Islander which I bought brand new. Over 2000 hours and still runs and looks good. My regret was not going with the 208. I only have a 350 in mine but still runs upper 50s.

No. Blow out with lower unit trimmed up. With 4 blade it wont blow out even when trimmed.

And slower. I personally like working the trim if horsing around.
Good four will give some stern lift to it also.

It's strange that the guy that started this post hasn't responded at all.
