Yes. Most boats back then were limited by the materials, some well made, others not. Vanguard were well priced, low quality. Plywood and chopper guns.

That one has a newer 150, so the boat $500, trailer? $500 and rigging? Plus the engine. 2015 rude in Canada is probably worth 8k?

That 150 is way too much for that boat imo. Lots of good deals on better smaller boats. Could be a good fixer upper but I wouldn't put much money in one. Again, just opinion.

What speed did you think the 70 was doing? Found the one with a 1980 90hp merc (blue band) and guy says he gets 40 mph but only turning 4000 rpm. Why it's only 4000 I don't know, I asked what size prop and he said "I got two with the boat, one for skiing one for speed" didn't know what size they were or which was on it. Tach issues maybe?
