Standard fire crank and chest layout ADI . Two triples (135)(246). Crankpin spacing within each triple 120°, crankpin spacing between both triples as firing order 60°. Distance from top of each triple to end of each tuner, effectively equal with standard ADI tuner(S), near one bore spacing difference +/- slightly different ratio adjustment.
Carburation, one carb feeding two cylinders. One cylinder from each triple. Example top carb feeding cyl 1&2 , crank pin spacing 180° which is optimum but some overlap increases with high rpm (that's another issue). Each of the cylinders sharing a single carb have effectively the same exhaust tuning by length and tuner ratio. This enables a single carb to be in proper tune for each of cylinders. When a change to the tuner of one or both triples occurs as when using the T2 tuners each cylinder(s) in the pair then is not in proper tune with the carb. The effects of scavenging change are important to tuning through the rpm range. To add to it the setup is more prone then with defector heat with the changes. The carbs were tuned with some room for conditions of operation range and load for the exhaust and tuner as stock but it would be a risk to run it out of tune. When you experience the flat spot in the range it's showing this.
The T2 set up has the triples layed out as (123)(456) with the firing order to compliment. Both triples still fall in near equal tune because of the tuner end difference as shown in the pic. The majority of the top triple's tuner is within the T2 chest itself. The total length of each triple to its tuner end is effectively equal again.

I'd consider the c6 front for use on the ADI motor with standard fire order. Assembled with 6 intake runner divisions, add the Wiseco high domes and a bit of port work and slightly mod the stock adi tuner assembly. You'll have a c6 which runs like crazy with much better reliability and save the T2 and it's correct pieces.
Build an adapter to accept the correct tuners to mod.
Also consider the stock adi has the lower reed assembly with fewer petals than mid and upper assemblies to go along with slightly less duration than the previous years. It could be built to a real hot rod.

I actually have a t2x powerhead for it, so I wouldn't cut the tuner, I'll have to make one for the adi engine

I love how this viper came out! Definitely the first time I've ever seen a 12" mid on a stream

Adi 115 is a bone stock low hour engine, it ran 76 mph yesterday, at 6200 rpm, with a 14.5 30 Merc lab cleaverClick image for larger version.

Pretty sure I was about 11\2 above with a 30 4 blade humpback on the vector. Hole shot sucked but would run 81. Was looking at the 2 1\2 t2 powerheads the other night after reading this thread. Maybe in a couple years after I fry some other fish on the table.

This is really cool. Any chance you have more pictures of what all you had to modify for it to work?
