I have all new crank bearings and cages. I also have all new wrist pins, bearings, pistons, rings and crank end bearings - all from ProMarine. There are no discolorations and absolutely no visible signs of bearing heat problems. I purchased this boat/motor this way and tore it down the day after I brought it home- never having heard it run. I got it for what I think was cheap ($900) and had every intention of breaking down every part of the hull and every nut/bolt on the motor. No complaints what-so-ever.

That's what I told the wife about the $900 price.....now if I can keep the invoices away from her on the 8 gallons of laminating epoxy, 50 yards of 60" 1708, $1,000 in custom seating and interior, $600 or so in hull/deck paint, over $1,000 in building a custom drive-on trailer (had to buy and cut down an 18 foot Stratus bassboat trailer since no one was making an 80" wide 15 foot trailer (ratio of width to length on this boat is unique), and then the $1,500 in new and old 140 parts, machining, and rebuild items for the motor......I'll have about $7,000 plus hundreds of hours in it. But not many of us do this for the money - it's the hobby I enjoy.
