Removing oil injection on an EFI 2.5 liter Merc

Just picked up my first Merc 2.5 liter EFI motor. It's a low hour fresh water motor that specs out and runs great.

I have an inherent distrust of oil injection and have removed it on every 2.0 and 2.5 liter motor I've run. On a carb motor, removing trhe oil injection is very simple. I've done it may times.

Is there anything more involved in removing oil injection from an EFI Merc 2.5?

    Appreciate any guidance.

    Thanks...Steve2ManyBoats.

Thanks for the reply. Knew about block off kits. Already have one for this motor. Was just wondering if removing the oil pump on an EFI motor requires anything else.

    Thanks...Steve2ManyBoats
