minimum water pressure for 300x before guardian kicks in
hey guys,
just want to know at what pressure will guardian kick in at WOT? 5psi?
i know they recommend 10-12psi but i think i read gardian will kick in a bit lower then that.
on another note, i have the 140f thermostat in my 02 300x. seems to be the ones listed in every part list i looked at but ive seen some guys running the 120f ones. no overheating problems or anything but would it be worth switching them? temp dosent get much over 130 running high and hard...

Mine runs about 105 via smart craft. Analog gauge says about 160 thats at wot. My water pressure is never over 10psi. I dont think wp will set off guardian only temp. Im gonna have to break out my service manual to make sure. Heck at idle its near zero so guardian would kick in lol

i taught i read it had to be xx psi after xx rpm? not much pressure on idle so if low water pressure does make gardian kick in, it must be past a certain rpm..
and what about thermostats? witch are you running in yours? i get maybe 165-168f on the analog gauge and 130-135f on the scanner at wot. (118-120f crusing speed)
so does this mean the thermostats dont open at all if im never seeing 140?1998 charger stv. 225 promax. -sold-
