Cruising around Miami in the Activator

Having some fun running down to Biscayne bay and back up to North Miami. Some nice weather here.

Looks like that was a bunch of fun. That is my run too. Put in at Haulover, run down the Meloy Channel past the port, then out to Stiltsville or run South down the Bay. If my daughter is with me, lunch at Monty's is mandatory. Never tried the ocean, though.

Very nice, personally I'd rather hear the motor than the music

That was my stomping grounds growing up. I learned to sale on Biscayne Bay. Raced Hobie Cats there, windsurfed off of Rickenbacker Causeway and ran my Velocity 230 every weekend from Coconut Grove to Key Largo, Islamorada Tiki Bar, Elliots Key, Soldiers Key, Key Biscayne, Sundays on the Bay, Monte Trainers, Haulover Inlet & more!

That's awesome. I was a sailor growing up too. I remember sitting still on the calm days watching the "powerboats" go by.

Me too, I actually took recordings using an external mic but it got all blown out for some reason and was fuzzy. So had to settle for the eighties synthesizer. Lol. Hopefully I can nail down how to do good audio.

Right now it's on the rev limiter with both the 26" Raker 2 and Tempest, 75 MPH. I have a Bravo 1 XS 27" to try yet and I have a 28" Promax I'm sure will get me close to 80 and closer to 6000 RPM, but I didn't bring it with me. I'm probably going to sell a couple older props I have and update them to suit the boat. I didn't think I'd need to run 28" + pitch on this boat!

Sundays on the Bay--Showed up there right after I bought the Eliminator feeling pretty proud of my very colorful old school boat. Turns out there is a pair of maybe 32' what I call toy ocean racers--very well done tunnels, one painted up with "The Hulk" colors and logo, the other Spiderman. Could not come close to that. And then Sundays was gone.

I was one of the smallest "offshore" boats there with my Velocity. The big guns (Cigarettes, Apaches, Scarabs, Chris Crafts, etc.) would be rafted 5 deep at the dock on a Saturday or Sunday late afternoon. People (including many girls in bikinis) would constantly shuffle from the bar to the boats and disappear into the cabins for periods of time....I always wondered what was going on during those "Miami Vice" day of yore! lol

Good question, I don't really know. I think the Tempest is 17 deg. But I'll have to find out.
