Thanks for the ping back, but I am only interested in the boat in the pic, or something of similar size and style. I already have a 17’ Avenger. Need something bigger.

Anybody? Anything? It doesn't have to be an Avenger, necessarily, but it does need to be:
    1. A 20' open bow, low profile "lake boat"
    2. It has to be Merc outboard powered
    3. It has to do (or have the potential to do with set up) 80+ MPH, but not over 84. Insurance issues.
    4. It has to have a mono hull - V-bottom with pad
    5. It can be a "basket case" with no motor, but it has to be rebuildable

Here's an example of what I'm looking for. I tried to pull the trigger on this one, but it sold before I could do anything. Plus it was in San Diego, and I'm in the Seattle area.

Here's an example of another boat I'd be very interested in. This one is no longer for sale, and I'm not a fan of the color combo, but I could overlook that.

I had found a 19 or 20 foot CeeBee Avenger year's ago up in Cali, drove like 14hrs from Arizona to go buy it. It had been owned by an older gentleman and was in pristine condition. Mint original interior, wrap around buckets up front connected to bench seats on both sides behind the front buckets.
It had a 2liter 150hp Merc and did about 55-60mph. I sold the motor immediately and put a mid 90's 3.0 liter 225hp Merc on the back with a 6" manual jackplate with a torque master lower. It would hit the 63-6400'ish redline with a worked 25" thru-hub prop at right around 84mph.
This was one of the absolute best handling, best driving all around boat's I've ever owned, it really did EVERYTHING really well!!
    Hope you find one!

**Oh, and although it wasn't a pad bottom per say, it had strakes just outside of the center of the hull which acted like a "pad" and I believe that's why it handled so well, even at top speeds..
