    Different Cases for Sportmaster?

I was perusing options for a flush "kit" for my 1998 Sportmaster, and the parts guy at Teague Custom Marine said there are two different cases. He said one has a "really long" nose cone, and the other has a nose cone that barely sticks out. He said it would be easy to tell by looking at the shapes of the flush kits to see which matches mine, but it doesn't seems to be that easy for me.

The fourth and fifth items listed on their website via the link below, depict the different kits for the different nose cones. The descriptions on the two kits is kind of confusing because they seem to only refer to 2006, but I can't think those kits are only for the 2006 model year. Take a look at the link and you'll see what I mean.

I tried to press the guy for more info on how I might know which one I have, but that was about all he seemed to be able to tell me, and he didn't know a way of looking it up. So, I am appealing to the more experienced folks on this forum to try to help me determine which case I have. I'm not so sure I want to buy from them, because those prices are high, but I guess I should know which one I have so I have a better idea of what I'm looking for.

    Thanks in advance.

I wonder if the "early" style on that website is actually for cle and "late" is for sporty?

Use Only "mercury" flush adapter On mercury sport master lowers, I remember the short one fits 2.5 and the long one fitted 3.0 liter cases. Regardless once you fit it... look up the water inlet on the flusher making sure you see a clear path for the water. The Bob's flusher didnt work, even on a Bob's nonecone.

This one works better in my opinion than all of them. Easy to make. I made my first one in 1988 when cle's first came out. https://chriscarsonmarine.com/product-category/flusher/
