2000 Mercury 2.5L 200 HP Outboard 20"

2000 Mercury 2.5 liter 200 hp outboard carbureted with 20” shaft. Starts right up, idles and runs under power but started making a noise 2 weeks ago. Was told it might be a broken reed or 1 cylinder. I didn’t want to bother with it as I had a newer outboard already to replace it with. Has about 300 hours and was only used in fresh water. Lower unit works great and had impeller and oil just changed. Cowling, trim and everything else in great condition. Comes with oil tank, oil lines and battery cables. It is currently off the boat and in a metal outboard crate for easy transport. I have numerous videos of it running that were taken on July 1st, right before the motor was removed from boat. I have no idea what it is worth but was told I can get up to $3,000 for it as the lower unit alone is worth over $1,000. Open to offers. It is in San Diego, CA. Call or text at 619-339-7553.
