    2.4 vs 2.5 build

So I've been planning to sleeve a burned cylinder and add a new piston in my 2.4 200 carb. I just found a 93 2.5 efi that needs a piston also but everything else seems to be there. I can get it pretty cheap. Have not pulled the heads to look first hand but will. I Know my 2.4. Dont know the 2.5. Generally speaking, what do folks think of carbs vs efi? Could I sell the efi and use my 2.4 carbs and intake? WH46 carbs. Any idea what mid is worth? Trying to figure out which way to go. Thanks

Yes, get the 2.5 and throw your 2.4 carbs on it. Either get a 2.5 carb intake or slot the middle bolts on the 2.4 intake to fit.

EFI in my experience is more reliable and efficient. However, EFI also usually means more expensive when something needs to be worked on too.

Is that fuel injection worth anything if I yank it and put my carbs on?

Clean motor. Still got the oil injection tank on it. Sounds like an injector screwed up and burned the piston.

The ECU is worth $300 if its an A8, A26 or A30 and it is working properly. Injectors $100

Thanks Bullet123. I'll find out the details. I think I'll probably stay with the carbs if I go the 2.5 route - call me old school.

All that efi stuff and 40amp stuff should cover new set pistons
