1998 pro max - issues
1998 300 pro max.
Motor has run fine all year. Idled out from launch for about 10 mins. Get on plane and within about 1/4 mile the motor just shut off like someone turned the key off. I have checked all connections and can't find anything loose. Have power from key ignition to the motor. Starter will engage but will not turn the fly wheel. I cannot turn the fly wheel by hand or with a socket wrench. Pretty sure I am guessing this is not good....but thought I would see if there are any suggestions anyone has before I dig any further into this.
Thanks

Pull out all 6 spark plugs. Remove the flywheel cover. Try turning again. Post results

I did pull all 6 plugs when returned and flywheel still did not spin. All plugs had perfect coloring as they should.
I will drop the lower and see what happens from there. I'll be back with results once I get it dropped.
Thanks again for all suggestions.

Lower unit is locked up. Good thing is I had them rebuilt less than a year ago, so everything is still under warranty. I know it is not good, but I am actually glad to have it be the lower unit and not the powerhead.

I was also leaning to the side of the lower locking up. I have never seen a Promax go down quietly lol.
Respect no wake zones!!! Evinrude guys need a place to race too.
