Optimax 250 XS question

Hi all, new to scream and fly. The hull truth said I should move some questions over to here as soon go be new Mercury owner. Thanks in advance for the help.

I’m picking up a used Optimax 2003 250 on Monday. I was just told by the seller it’s an XS. I didnt know there was difference between this model and the standard opti until I saw some posts. Should I expect to take different care of this motor? Higher octane gas and oil? Anything else I should know? I really appreciate any guidance - I want to make sure I do the right thing on the front end.

Gotta run 91 octane in a 2003-2005 250 XS. DO NOT run regular gas. Any good outboard oil will work fine.
