1997 Mariner 225 EFI Super Magnum info

Just purchased sitting on a 18' Mirage. OG503168 serial. Is this a 3.0 or 2.5L? There are 3 quick beeps when key turned (is this normal)? WOT RPM range? Not one to haul the mail all day, more of just a cruiser. Premix anyway to be safe and bypass oil pump? Thanks!

I used to have one. 2.5 liter. Yes, better off to ditch the oil injection and premix. Think the redline is 6700 but someone else will chime in to verify. It may say so on the computer box on motor. recall one beep but again someone will comment. I had my box reprogrammed to raise the redline into the 7's but rarely ran it up there. It's the Mariner equivalent of a Merc 225 promax.

If you get the 3 beeps key on that's normal for stock system with oil injection and warning module. Many how to threads on here about oil injection delete, after delete will no longer have beep with key on. The STBD head temp sensor will be wired directly to harness and only beep if overheated.
