Question Anyone have a 3D printer?

Been looking at them, watching strength tests of different materials, etc.

This would be just one excuse to have one: https://3dlabprint.com/shop/

We've been looking at various brands for years... the local library bought one and it was a disaster so I kind of stepped back, then MakerBot (I think) bailed on consumer printers.

Let me know when you guys figure it out . Seems I can be as accurate as I can with drawings .. The CNC guy's make a few and let me look before doing the run. ( yes I had to pay for full runs of .. maybe not blems , but not exactly what I wanted). I would love to hand them the drawing .. and an accurate part to work from .

What could go wrong … ???

I wish I had one for sure, and that pic is just epic! Haha! That's so awesome.

There is a bunch of videos of different models running on youtube.. Also tests because there are many different filaments with different strengths and purposes.

I could see it working for velocity stacks, minor brackets, intake stuffers, etc.

I sent for some free "sample" parts from 2 or 3 consumer printer mfg's and they all sucked. The surface finishes were nowhere near what we would need.
But hopefully they continue to evolve. The MakerBot press release re exiting the consumer market was pretty discouraging though.
If I could afford a high-end "metal" printer that would be awesome.
