Check compression after the hour running, not oiled up cylinders.

Note any difference in bore condition from previous when heads were off.

Transfer, above on the condition of crosshatch

Maybe you find the majority of the water went in two carb throats. Still have to consider the bearings rod ends of those cylinders. Could go either way, no issues for years or...

Well. Ive been stressing all day about it. I'm happy to say all 6 are still 148ish. I know I'm not out of the woods but I feel a little better. Best I can tell the bores still look the same FMP. The plugs are wasted tho. Tomorrow ill round some up.

So plugs , maybe a bit of jetting if needed with the extra psi, maybe not. Tune it , love it.

I'm fuel injected. Is there anything I can do to tune it if necessary?

Right, FI. Would think it has some range adjust on it's own based on the sensors and map.
Someone did mention turning it up. Someone here knows 100%.

Yeah someone did say turn up the fuel but never elaborated after I asked. Ive read a lot on this motor and it seems that it self adjusts to a certain degree when doing power adders but i really have no idea. All the FI cars I've built always needed computer work or even a whole new computer to tune on.

I got out on the water this morning and fooled with it. I am still stuck at 4800 rpm. I choked off cylinders at WOT and got a noticeable loss of power on each so I guess I'm hitting on all six. Now I'm really lost. Also my overheat at idle is back. The hits keep coming. Lol

Verified tps .52 at idle and 3.4 WOT. Verified I have 37 psi at the rail on prime. Is there a way to do a fuel volume test?New plugs this morning. Just going back through stuff I messed with and I just don't see anything.

IMO you need to remap the computer but I do not have the software to do that.

Stick the stock heads back on it, if it doesn't run then... you have bigger problems?

Ok, having read threw this whole thread. Here is my 2c. 148psi on an OX is way high. They have a big exhaust slot in the port to lower cranking compression, so you can add 10psi to cranking compression for an “accurate” cranking compression number. So 158psi. Will need 100 octane imo for that to work. If it is in any type of failsafe, or if the knock sensor is doing its job, it will pull timing and run exactly as you have described. If you bought those heads used, someone has cut them. You should have max 140 psi cranking with those heads. Maybe find a different compression gauge and try again. It sure sounds to me it’s running in failsafe. A Yamaha “winky-blinky “ can give you codes.
