As a wise man once said ... Shush you ..
Well I ground~idit Smoove .
Beat on em with pellets like it was first day of Dove season.
Particle magged em .
Honed the ends .
Chased the threads .
Squirted em with a hi~ Impact , Hi ~temp , thin film coating .
And this weekend they goin to my chryo guy .
Oops I didn't mean to drop the last two … yet ..
Not that I'm trying to hide anything , but because I want to give the last two guys the proper credit they deserve for putting up with me .
Credit is due to Bud from East Coast powdercoating , for pushing me off the cliff years ago , about the value and proper application of anti friction coatings .
Now for the big inch stuff .. I'm still a bit leery about using the chicken bones.
I don't speak Chinese , the "molding fee's" are a bit steep especially since they don't do short runs to see if they got it right before runnin off 150 units , be they right / wrong / or indifferent . So solly , U pay , we fix mold , run 150 more unit , same plice az befoe ..
Now if I had a ... ahemm , hook~up at a job shop in Motown ..

Older sand cast blocks are a work of art …
Newer , faster , stronger , , more profit , core shift , more profit , pouris castings , more profit , weaker parts , more profit , big hemoblobbin's of aluminum at the mold parting lines , more profit in using foam mold coring , hence the cute nik~name ..

I have been waiting patiently for my "ace in the hole" to speak up .. LOL
I had become pretty good friends with Dennis Kline years ago out on the Top dragster trail. Last I heard , he was an assembler at livernois Motorsports . I have been thinking about reaching out to him for idea's . Truthfully , I'm starting to feel like a kid who can't get a date to the prom .. The old world craftsmen that "The Capt" speaks of seemed to reach a peak after WW2 and has sadly been on a decline ever since.
All I have spoken to .. only / can / want / are able / to cut aluminum and 1,000,000 parts at a time ..

Midlife .. It was a good thing I was sitting down when I got a quote ..
You have to go thru the guy in Miami , who is not interested in anything but the numbers that get filled in on that page .
I really wasn't looking to pay off the whole country of Argentina's national debt , and if I was I'd want a lil say in what the money got used for …
But thanks for lookin …

length would have worked with omc big rods but the big ends a bit smaller. You can make them work all ya have to do is use an omc crank and block .
