Ohh , so he the Allen Millyard of outboards ..

The reason I "axed" is we were discussing lateral marks in OMC rods and the Capt mentioned his name .. that they should have used his motor .

Chaz=thinkin, no one was gonna build a V , V , apposed 12 holer for the public .. but it would be fun ..

...no that was the double powerhead wizard, that was rigged on a boat that wasn't build for such a thing. mercury themselves, did not build it. it was a private project.

My curiosity is/was in the crankshaft(s) arrangement … thanks

I would just go with a set of used evinrude rods, they don't get strained at all from their original engines and are like new.
Respect no wake zones!!! Evinrude guys need a place to race too.

Well Roost , I've pilfered thru every stack of rods the OMC guru had .. I'll skip the correct measurement procedure for application … and let H20Perf deal with everything after the comma in your statement …

LOL good one. I was just poking fun, I'm actually a huge fan of looper engines.

I gotz Fords and Chevy's .. raised on Evinrude's , stuck with more 3.0L Mercs that I'll use in my lifetime .. Unless the stock *(%$@#**^* rod's cut em all in half first ..

I built the headers for the best Yamaha guy in town's 406ci / S-10 truck .. years ago.
I went to his place and went thru his pile of rods too .. nuthin close ..

I'll be done with the first two sets pretty soon. They will go into a pair of stock 225's first .. if I can't break em , then I gotz a pair of 3600+cc powerheads that are ready to go together .. and I'll do two sets for those as well ..

If not , I've got a bar of 8620 .. just need to find a hammer , and someone who speaks English ..
