Need help wiring a scissor lift

I recently purchased a scissor lift. The cord has 3 wires brown,blue and yellow with a green stripe. After doing some investigation blue is neutral,brown is line and of course yellow with green stripe is ground. That's how I wired the plug. Lift worked fine. The cord it came with was a little bit short. I bought a longer cord. Here's the problem. I opened the panel to remove the old wires. Its wired blue is line,brown neutral. I'm at a loss. How should I wire the new cable ? Thanks
