Eww, that sucks Keith. Sure wish they would allow EFI...I hate the carby motors myself. Just seem way too finicky.

We arrived at the course on Fri and while testing additional props and running a few laps we hurt our second engine.
Put our 3rd engine another 2.5 on Fri night.
After the start of the race we were running mid pack and lost forward gear just after completing the first lap.
We had to be towed 3/4 of the way around the course.
Changed the lower unit and went back out onto the course about 1 1/2hrs into the race only to lose a rod or rod bolt in #5 after
2 or 3 laps.
We still had a great time but definitely frustrating. We will take this experience and learn from it.
Thanks to all of our families and friends who continue to support and help us and we'll be back next year.

EFI is allowed in Div VI which we run in. 1400lbs minimum. Can be weighed with remaining fuel. I think were going to cut a motor similar to a 7 pedal Promax on laser injection. Hopefully prop it to run 6700-6800 were it stands a better chance of survival.
Our Rampage is a lot heaver than Johnny's which is not a bad thing because it can take a beating. We made minimum weight at 1350 with no added fuel or weight on carbs not EFI.
We moved our seat and steering wheel back about 6 inches which helped but we need to add lift. So the Rampage will be derigged and turned upside down next year and receive a inch or so of lift in the tunnels. It's got 1 inch of squish and it needs more like the STV's
