This was back when Mod-VP rules required the water inlets to remain in the stock location so we were about 1" below. That helped in the rough water. We were 9 inches back. It drove great. I have a Parker picture of it at speed but it`s really big. Maybe I can find the small snapshot.

    Same here definitely..
Hopefully get there early enough and get to check out stuff before race starts.

Just wondering about whether it's worth it to bring the boat or not?

Is it worth entering a boat in the Parker Enduro? Hell yes.
If you have a Modvp style hull, even a ski layup. I would throw a stock 2.5 on and enjoy the smiles.
The whole experience will make you a junkie for more.

You can bring a boat to watch.
You could probably get a spot on the course if you're willing to be a tow boat for the many that break.
I can put you in touch with the race promoter, they are always looking for volunteers.
You can throw a anchor and watch from the first turn only.
You can also see many parts of the course from your vehicle

I would book and hold fri and sat at the Blue Water casino.
About 150 a night give or take.
There are several other motels within a mile or 2 for less.
    Nothing expensive, just basic rooms.

And the ONLY Black to win was Arther Kennedy

    http://www.quincylooperracing.us/subpage47.html

I first met him In 1982 at a MVP race in Nebraska, He was using the same motor builder / prop guy HRN Harold Nauss of OMC later Michigan Wheel (prop)

He asked me for help crew for him, back then in the main race they had to stop for fuel, he came in too Hot and draged me on the floating dock ouch.

He was racing in the F1 or what ever they called it back then, Real nice guy.

So Art won the Enduro in 83. That had to be a 9hr or more race back then.
Didn't know this. Thanks for sharing
