You all know during that time period things were reversed the Republican party was todays Democrats and yes to be Republican you wanted to free the slaves,

a total 620,000 people died during the civil war out of a total 31,500,000 people in the USA at that time, that's a high percentage.









I grew up in a town between Niagara Falls and Buffalo we had 30,000 white people no blacks till I was 14 yrs old one well to do family moved in to the wealthy part of town, they owned stores in the part of Buffalo where the riots were in the late 60s, steel bars over all windows, I invited Mark B to a couple of Keg partys no one ever gave him any grief, my town had the lowest crime rate in all of NYS I know nothing of race problems because they were a big city thing never touched us, well years later I'm a union Stuart at Miller Brewing Co. north of Syracuse NY and this Black guy from Niagara Falls finds out i'm from N Tonawanda he refuses to talk to me anymore, has instant hate because he says I'm from a Sundown town, I heard stories that there were once signs at our city limits telling them to leave town by the 8pm whistle, and I never had a racist thought because of no exposure just the TV.

I remember that post krazymaan. He was saying how the American workers wanted too much pay. He liked the SA's better. He's not alone though.
