He was showing examples of people/businesses being attacked by the keyboard nazis over anything they can find online that they can take out of content and attack them for.

Twitter banned Candice Owens for defending one of these businesses and calling her insensitive to racism.

My dad was alive for the begging of Trumps campaign and that was the normal topic of discussion on my wkly visits.
He loved the guy.
He could never get the people gullible enough to believe Sanders.

My dad was self made same as Trump.

He was told that w/o supporting our then dem governor and w/o a paper trail of donations, he had no chance.

As to Trump being a draft dodger, my dad raised a family that believed people make mistakes but try to learn from them and improve and that was OK w/us.

You won’t find too many successful people that haven’t made plenty of mistakes.

Back to the draft.
My brother is 10 yrs older than me and was of draft age during the Vietnam era.
He had permanent foot injury from a car accident that kept him out and he was happy about it.
I think we had 8 (!!!) young men on our street of draft age during that era.
I was young enough to not understand the war but old enough to understand that my brother had friends talking about running to Canada and I didn’t like it.
I know that 2 of those young men went to Nam and didn’t come back.
One had a brother just young enough to miss the draft and was never the same after.

My brother (now 71) recently revealed to me that tensions between he and my dad at that time were tense and per my brother, they didn’t talk much.

My dad, nearing the end of his life was disgusted by the current state of our govmnt and it’s nanny states.
It really bothered him that he could see its trajectory but felt helpless to help/change.
He felt we had a new generation of young people that wanted supported instead of work like he did.
That wouldn’t fight to defend their country like he did.

He couldn’t stand seeing the punk ass nfl players kneeling, no matter how the left and the media painted it.

The one thing he did do, was to donate to Trumps campaign.
On a visit he showed me a thank you card that he got back with Donald’s and Melanias signatures.
I knew it was one of a bazillion but he was happy to believe what he wanted, but yes he knew.

Only blessing of his passing is hes is he’s not around to see the toilet our government has been revealed to be.
He would thank Trump for showing him but don’t know how he could accept it.
