Jackplates - Bob's, Seastar or Atlas?
I need to replace my Bob's Machine jackplate. How are the Seastar and Atlas jackplates? How well do the position indicators work on the Seastar and Atlas plates?

The new SeaStar Extreme plates are very nice. I like mine and it replaced a Bob’s plate. Every bit as strong with slightly less weight. Position indicator is analog but pretty accurate. Atlas plates are not so great, I have one on my Key West and there’s more flex at the extremes than either the Bob’s or SeaStar. Position sensor is digital but no more accurate than the SeaStar or Bob’s.
I’d go with the SeaStar if I were you but you can’t go wrong with Bob’s either. Steer clear of the Atlas.Mark

I checked out the SeaStar and it looks great to me I think i'll try one next. I really like that memory feature for your favorite height but the cost of that is just dumb. I'm thinking a raspberry Pi and a friend to code it will do the same for 5 bucks
